Indiana’s “Don’t Say Gay” house bill 1608, patterned after Florida’s “Don’t Say Gay” law banning discussion of gender identity and sexual orientation in early grades, is harmful to LGBTQAI+ youth and families. In this video, I discuss what HB 1608 is, why the bill is being proposed, the ramifications of the bill, and why I believe the bill is wrong and shouldn’t be passed.
